ICTRamsden is a sole-trader IT support and web design business based in Corsham, Wiltshire, run by Ian Ramsden. We can be contacted at ictramsden@gmail.com.
What data we collect
When you contact us through our website form, by email, by phone, or by message, we may collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you choose to provide it
- Any information you include in your message
We may also keep practical job details, invoices, and records of work carried out where you become a client.
We do not collect payment card details through this website. Payments are handled separately, for example by card provider, PayPal, bank transfer, or cash.
How we use your data
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, arrange support, provide services, keep appropriate business records, and deal with invoices or follow-up questions.
Our usual lawful basis is legitimate interests, because we need to use the information you send us to reply and provide the service you requested. Where records are needed for tax or accounting, we keep them to meet legal obligations.
We do not use your data for marketing, share it with third parties for advertising purposes, or sell it.
How long we keep it
We retain general enquiry messages for up to 2 years from your last interaction with us, after which they are deleted unless there is a practical reason to keep them for longer.
Where you become a client, invoices and accounting records may need to be kept for longer to meet tax and business record requirements. You can request deletion of information that no longer needs to be kept.
Third-party processors
Our contact form is processed by Formspree (formspree.io), which receives your submission before passing it to us. Formspree's own privacy policy applies to their handling of your data.
Enquiry responses may be drafted with assistance from the Anthropic API (Claude AI). Message content may be processed by Anthropic's systems for this purpose. Anthropic's privacy policy applies.
We may also use normal business tools such as email, calendar, payment, and accounting services where needed to respond to enquiries and provide services.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk
